How Do Djiboutians Live?​

​Many djiboutians have no employed family member. In areas were the poverty lives the government and catholic relief organizations provide some humanitarian aid to impoverished. With the refugees Djibouti has been taking of Somalia and Ethiopa the already broken economy has been demolish.

Education​

Illiteracy is a major problem​ in Djibouti. There is only 81 public primary schools, 12 secondary schools, 2 vocational schools and one universities in Djibouti. Since 2006 Djibouti has been part of the Global Parthership of Education. For their parthership many more schools are being contruct to get a better education for kids. Many grants are being received to help function the education better and fight the illiteracy problem.

Poverty​

Almost 50% of Djiboutians are in unemployment. Almost 50% of the population is below the poverty line. The percentage of poverty of Djibouti in rural places is grearter than in urban places. The United Stated Agency of International Development has enacted several programs to adress the poverty. Poverty has been increasing because of the severe drought Djibouti has had for over 60 years.

Health Care

Health Care is not very accessible in Djibouti. Many djiboutians depend on traditional remedies. Djibouti is trying to improve availability, accessibility of medecines & diagnostics, adopt financing requirements of health system and stress human resources for health as main priority.
